Calvary Chapel North Stafford is a church that is affiliated with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, where Pastor Chuck Smith serves as the senior pastor. Pastor Chuck is also Steve’s Pastor. Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational fellowship of churches with certain beliefs and distinctives. In October of 2004, CCNS held its first Sunday Morning Service (under the name North Stafford Bible Fellowship) in a small conference room inside the Comfort Inn located on 610 (Garrisonville Rd) in Northern Virginia. Since then CCNS has enjoyed God’s hand of grace in adding to His church daily those who are being saved (Acts 2:47closeActs 2:47 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. (ESV) closeActs 2:47closeActs 2:47 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. Though we’re not a large church, we recognize that God has raise up Pastor Steve to be the shepherd of CCNS in the Stafford / Fredericksburg area, and has given him a heart to teach God’s people His Word and to reach as many people in the Northern Virginia area.
CCNS is a fellowship of likeminded believers who are missions-minded. (click here for our beliefs) Our calling has always been to reach not only Stafford County for Jesus Christ, but the Fredericksburg area, along with our great service members stationed in Quantico Marine Corp Base. But our prayers go beyond Virginia as we support missionaries throughout all the world in places such as the Gaza Strip, Ukraine, Mexico, Hungary, and even England. However, Pastor Steve knows in order to accomplish our call to reach the world for Christ through missions, CCNS has to be a body of believers that is well fed and well cared for, thus Pastor Steve is committed to his ultimate calling to equip the sheep and to feed the sheep at CCNS. As was the case with Pastor Chuck Smith, Pastor Steve’s heart’s desire is to have the most educated, well fed and well cared for flock in all of Stafford County, so that we, acting as one body, having Christ as our head can effectively reach the world for Jesus Christ.
If you live in the Stafford, Fredericksburg, King George or Woodbridge area, or if you are a Marine stationed at Quantico, we invite you to come out to Calvary Chapel North Stafford and study God’s Word with us as Pastor Steve takes us verse by verse through the bible.
